According to a legend a citizen of Brandenburg, named Fritze Bollmann, was fishing drunkenly, fell into the lake and drowned. However i happened, children today are still singing a satirical song about the drunken barber.
Over the silo canal, the lakes “Quenzsee” and “Breitlingsee” you reach the so called “Brandenburger Stadthavel (meaning the river flows directly through the city of Brandenburg). Passing the old town, the Millenium bridge and many other sights, this trip offers a special type of city tour. After again passing a floodgate you start the way back to Potsdam.
